American graphic design has become a big part of pop culture and American culture as a whole. This was due to the graphic design professionals that constantly pushed the field further and further. 50 Graphic Designers Influencing America is a book about the graphic designers that paved the road for the ones that followed.

True to the clean and simple characteristic of the modern style, the book keeps to a simple column grid that allows the scarce elements on each spread to truly shine. Using negative space, the examples of the designer’s works are given room to breathe and each designer’s quote is given it’s own spotlight.  Additional spreads for a designer contains more works that are presented in a simple clean fashion, the strict grid is not only applied to the images but to the captions as well.

50 Graphic Designers Influencing America pays respect to the professionals that built the foundation for the landscape of today. Without the influence of these designers, the field of graphic design wouldn’t be as distinguished as it is today.
